The design consultation day is VERY important for a bride as it gives Philippa a strong idea of how you would like to look on your wedding day and also tests that your have no allergies to any products.

In order to secure your wedding date, it is advised to have your consultation as soon as you have found your dress (so that you know your style). Philippa will never put a time on the day but it generally lasts around 2 hours. She will either come to the comfort of your own home or you can come to her in North London.

You will both discuss ideas that you may have for your makeup, colour schemes (if decided), what style the dress is, and how you usually wear your makeup. Once Philippa has a good idea of what you would like she will try out your desired look until you are happy with it.

The most important factor for Philippa as your personal makeup artist is to ensure you look like you but more fabulous! You can choose to have your makeup applied very lightly all the way through to a strong look. Lashes can also be applied to enhance the eyes.

If you would like to secure Philippa’s makeup services for your wedding day she will send out an invoice where a deposit is required. This will secure the date for you and you can then book your design day when it suits you.

Once you have decided how many of your wedding party would like making up, Philippa will put together (at no extra cost) a schedule which also works around your hair stylist and she will liaise with your event planner. This schedule will always ensure that you have a stress free day and have enough time just before your ceremony for any photos and/or relaxation time.

Philippa advises that you have your hair pretty much finished BEFORE your makeup but this is not essential. She also advises that where possible your hair stylist comes to the location where you are getting married if possible.

Philippa also specialises in Jewish Weddings, and as such she is happy to stay with you right up until you leave for the Bedekin. If you require her after the Chuppah for any makeup touch ups or a makeup change there will be an additional cost.

Should you wish to have more than 6 ladies made up (including yourself) please let Philippa know and she will bring in her team.

Philippa offers a luxury service of staying with you until after your ceremony.  She will remain with you whilst you put your dress on, during any photos and she will meet you after your ceremony for makeup touches ups.   She will also adjust the makeup from day to night if this is what you would like.  Either way, this service is consistently popular, as it enables you to have your personal makeup artist by your side throughout your special day.
